This recipe is adapted from 12 Days to Sexy - a real food group cleanse program
1 pound ground pastured turkey
1 pound ground grass-fed beef
1 cup kidney beans
1/2 cup black beans
2 medium onions, chopped
4 stalks of celery, finely chopped
4 cloves of garlic, minced
2 red bell peppers, chopped
2 (28 oz) cans of organic fire roasted tomatoes
1 (15 oz) can of organic pumpkin
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 tsp cumin
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp cayenne
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1. Brown the turkey and beef in 1 tbsp of olive oil.
2. Soak the beans overnight. Drain. Simmer in 3 cups of water for 1.5 hours.
3. Add the above and all other ingredients to a stock pot or crock pot.
4. Cook on low heat for 2 hours, or until all the vegetables are tender.
